FaezehTabatabaei is known as a qualified lawyer with a Law degree from Tehran University in Iran. She also holds an LLM in International Law from University of Tehran as well as an LLM in Maritime Law from University of Southampton, UK. She is a permanent member of Iranian Bar association since 2001.
She worked as Legal and Insurance manager of a leading shipping company for 9 years and gained a valuable experience in handling of all shipping and commercial cases.Then she decided to change her professional status from being an in-house lawyer to a party to an International Law firm. In line with the idea, she moved to private sector and established "Tabatabaei & Fichte" to provide clients with European standard Legal services, the firm was working under this name till Sept.2010 when Fichte decided to pull out from Iran when Sanctions enforced. The firm continues to provide legal services to Iranian Clients and foreigners (foreign individuals & legal entities) under new name of TABA Legal Services with the same standard.
Being known as the leading Iranian authority in Maritime Law and International trade, she became an honorary member of Iranian Ship-owners Association on November 2009
While P&I club works with her in different legal issues, she has been officially appointed as local correspondents of, London P& I club from January 2010.
She is also Arbitrator in Maritime and International trade claim in ACIC (Arbitration Center of Iranian Chamber of Commerce) from OCT 2010.
She has been appointed by Malta Foreign Ministry as Honorary Consul of Malta in Iran since Dec. 2010
She has all rights and duties of a consul except those affairs concerned with the issuance of visa, passports and birth/death certificates. While promoting trade between the two countries through their respective chambers of commerce being her main focus, she will be the authorized person to attest all documents issued or executed in Iran for further use in the island.
She has been invited to give Maritime law and Marine insurance related talks to different audiences, one of which was IRISL training institute and in international field, Lloyds Maritime Academy (in which she gave a talk about Arrest in Iran 2008)
